The Best Faceless YouTube Niches in 2026 (and How to Pick One)
Every “top 10 faceless niches” list has the same problem: by the time it ranks on Google, a thousand people have read it and flooded the exact niches it named. A list is a snapshot. What you want is a method.
Here’s the method — and then, yes, where the openings actually are.
What makes a faceless niche good
Three things, in order:
- You can produce it without burning out. Faceless means repeatable: stock footage, voiceover, screen capture, data, or AI-assisted visuals. If every video needs a custom shoot, it’s not faceless — it’s just tiring.
- The audience is worth money. A niche with 5M viewers in a low-CPM region can earn less than one with 200k viewers in the US and UK. Finance, tech, and how-to skew high; pure entertainment skews low. (See our CPM-by-country breakdown.)
- There’s still a gap. Not “does the niche exist” — every niche exists — but “can a new video on a specific topic still reach people.” That’s testable.
Durable faceless categories (still working in 2026)
- Cooking / recipes (voiceover + overhead shots) — evergreen demand, high re-watch, and food searches renew constantly. Our sweet spot.
- Personal finance & side income — high CPM, endless sub-topics, faceless by default.
- How-to & software tutorials — screen capture, strong search intent, high CPM.
- Curiosity / explainer (science, history, “how X works”) — stock + voiceover, huge ceilings.
- Relaxation & ambience — low effort per video, low CPM; a volume play, not a money play.
Notice these are categories, not topics. The money is in finding the open topic inside a durable category.
Don’t pick a niche — pick an opening
“Cooking” isn’t a choice you can act on. “5-minute high-protein air fryer breakfasts” is. The winning move is to take a durable category and find the specific sub-topics where demand is rising and strong recent competition is thin.
